This collection of poetic gospel consists of verse with a shared theme of divine contemplation, belief, and appreciation, in an inclusive fashion. Poetic Praises was inspired by the earth around me and the sky above me, for as I look around, I am humbled and reminded of my many blessings.
Also, I am reminded that there is a Heavenly Father who watches over me and mine and who loves me unconditionally. What more motivation than this could one need to acknowledge such wonderful favor?

D. Marie Braggs is a native of New England (New Haven and Waterbury). She is the mother of three adult children raised in Connecticut and the Southeast (Tampa Bay and Atlanta metro area). She is also a proud grandmother. Although employed as a legal assistant, she has been interested in and drawn to writing as far back as she can remember. Long before that and while, she sensed the Heavenly Father in her company.
That magnificent presence has manifested in her life in different ways and at different times. Coincidentally, her thoughts on such knowledge took her through diverse "learning tree" lessons and experiences. One expedition found her compiling a gospel poetry book, which became Poetic Praises.
"As a novelist, poet and lyricist, within this work I attempt to contribute to a select group of people -- people who know and love Jesus Christ, or who have a desire to know Him. I attempt this in a creative writing format motorized by a quest to spawn interest, clarify confusion, spark inspiration and, basically, share some very Good News!
